Student COVID-19 Self-Reporting
To maintain a safe campus environment and to support students affected by COVID-19, Oakton reasonably expects enrolled students to self-report in the following categories:

  1. Testing Positive for COVID-19,
  2. Experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, or
  3. Having had close contact with a person known to have tested positive for COVID-19.

Students physically coming to campus are required to complete a Daily Screening Form.

As indicated in the daily screening form, self-reports will be communicated to the Office of Student Affairs at Once a self-report is received, the office will initiate contact tracing protocols by following up with the student via phone and/or email. Students affected by COVID-19 and enrolled in a class that meets on campus (face-to-face) are strongly encouraged to immediately contact their instructor(s). Instructor contact will support clarifying academic expectations, especially if a student is quarantined and unable to attend on-campus classes.
