Youth Summer Camp

When school is out, STEAM Camp is in!

Every year, Oakton College welcomes young people between ages 8 and 14 for a summer of learning and fun. At our STEAM Camps, students explore science, technology, engineering, art and math through a number of engaging and interactive experiences. This youth college program offers classes in fields like coding, game design, app development, virtual reality and more!

More than just fun and games, our programs provide engaging and unique learning opportunities for students ages 8 to 14 (unless otherwise noted) on a college campus. Don’t miss out on these diverse, academic youth programs.

Attendees can have fun designing Minecraft characters and objects, learning to code in HTML and JavaScript, creating virtual worlds and expanding their knowledge of science and engineering.

“Each summer, Oakton offers innovative and unique learning programs for youth,” says Jesse Ivory, dean of Adult and Continuing Education/dean of the Skokie campus. “We are especially excited about the opportunity to offer so many interactive and fully online courses this year. Participants are sure to have a fun, yet academically engaging and virtual experience.”

STEAM Camp is offered by Oakton’s Alliance for Lifelong Learning (ALL).
