Spring Events
Black Student College Success Program - Feb. 24 @ 5 p.m Register
Learn about Oakton Community College and how we promote scholarship, foster leadership, and cultivate community. The Black College Student Success Program aims to support your educational journey to earn a certificate or degree while emphasizing the Black experience. Hear from a panel of transfer college representatives that can help you connect the link between starting at Oakton and transferring to their college or university. Engage with our Student Life and Campus Inclusion department and discover all that Oakton has to offer.
Diversability - Mar. 4 @ 5:30 p.m. Register
Join the Oakton Admission team and the Access and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) to explore resources and accommodations available to Oakton students. Find out how to apply for admission, learn about current student's Oakton experience, receive a demonstration of Oakton's assistive technology, and understand all of the ways the ADRC can help you be successful at Oakton. (Parents and family are welcome to sit-in during the virtual workshop)
Engineering Pathways Info Session - Mar. 10 @ 5:30 p.m. Register
Attend our virtual Zoom engineering pathways info session to learn more about the Oakton - UIUC guaranteed transfer partnership for high school seniors. Qualifying students complete their first two years of coursework at Oakton and are guaranteed admission to UIUC to finish their four-year degree in Engineering. An overview of Oakton's engineering program, other transfer partnerships, as well as scholarship and involvement opportunities will also be shared. The session will also include a Q&A so you can have all of your questions answered by the Oakton Admission team and Engineering department chair!
Latinx Student College Success Program - Mar. 11 @ 5 p.m. Register
Learn about Oakton Community College and how it can support you on your educational journey to earn a certificate or degree. Interact with admission representatives from Hispanic Serving Institutions, engage with Oakton support services, and discover all that Oakton has to offer.
Discover Oakton Virtual Open House - Mar. 24 @ 5 p.m. Register
Exploring college and career options? Why not discover all that Oakton has to offer through a variety of 30 minute workshops. Join the Oakton Admission team and representatives from our Skokie campus Career and Technical Education programs, as well as, Financial Assistance, Career and Transfer Center, and Student Life.
