Oakton College is continuing campus improvement projects including those outlined in our recently approved facilities master plan, which will result in transformed spaces that create an optimal learning and working environment for students and employees.

Latest Update: Sept. 16, 2024

  • Door 5 at the Des Plaines campus is currently closed. It is expected to re-open by Monday, Sept. 23.
  • The Division of Student Affairs has temporarily re-located to Room 2817.
  • The Division of Academic Affairs has temporarily re-located to Room 1420.
  • The Ten Hoeve Rooms at the Des Plaines campus are tentatively scheduled to be unavailable from Dec. 1, 2024 - Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Acorn and Oak Rooms at the Skokie campus are tentatively scheduled to become available Sept. 15, 2024.

Liberal Arts, Academic Affairs and Institutional Research Office Renovations (Des Plaines Floor 2)

Phase 1 has been completed. The Liberal Arts Department has moved into Suite 2180, and the Institutional Research has moved into Suite 2100. 

Phase 2 of the construction of the Academic Affairs suites has started and will continue until the end of the year.

Kluber Architects is working on construction documents for phase 1, which entails repairs and replacement to exterior doors across both campuses. Construction dates will be established upon completion of construction documents and bidding process.

Baseball Field Renovation

The infield and bullpens are 95% complete. The irrigation system is complete. Outfield finish grade is complete and sod will be installed in the coming weeks. The scoreboard will be installed in the coming weeks.
