Oakton offers an associate in applied science (A.A.S.) in medical laboratory technology for students who wish to start a career in clinical laboratory science. Students who complete this program are eligible to take the MLT certification examination administered by the Board of Certification of the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Oakton offers certificate programs in Phlebotomy and Pharmacy Technician. Courses in these certificates fall under the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Department.
