Each campus at Oakton has open lab facilities with first-come, first-served general use computers, dedicated computer classrooms for instructional purposes, and specialized computing labs dedicated to specific programs such as Graphic Design or Nursing. Students in credit classes, and select non-credit classes, are welcome to use the open labs in support of their educational goals at Oakton.
Currently enrolled Oakton students can borrow Mobile WiFi hotspots and/or Chromebooks through the library. Loans are for the entire term and are subject to availability.
* Schedules are subject to change on holidays and breaks. Oakton is closed Friday through Sunday during the summer.
Cyber Cafes with print services are available in the first-floor hallway by the cafeteria and 1100s wing in Des Plaines, and next to the cafeteria at Skokie. They are open for currently enrolled students when the college is open.

Student employees are stationed in our open computer labs to help with general computer use. They are responsible for ensuring a supportive working environment for all lab users, as well as aiding in the adjacent computer classrooms.

All students are given a quota for printing at the start of each term they are enrolled; select classes that require extensive printing or printing in color (which costs more) have a larger quota.
