Oakton College and Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. have created a partnership that allows EMTs and paramedics in Illinois to earn an associate’s degree while working for Superior Ambulance.
The partnership creates a streamlined pathway to earn an Associate in General Studies (A.G.S.) degree by awarding up to 33 credits for prior learning. Under the agreement, eligible emergency medical services (EMS) professionals can receive credit for nationally recognized certifications and training programs, significantly reducing the time needed to complete their degree.
You can then complete your remaining general education coursework at Oakton, including communication, mathematics and science requirements. See the Oakton College Academic Catalog for specific information on required courses that will need to be completed to earn the A.G.S. degree.
